About me!

I am a Southern girl born in Raleigh North Carolina, but I wasn't raised there since my Father was in the Army. I grew up an Army Brat moving to a new place every 3 years. Then at 18 I got married to my wonderful husband Joe  who was also in the Army( just celebrated 25 years of marriage), and continued to move around until Joe retired in 2007, and we moved back to his home state of Michigan. We have three beautiful children, that we are so proud of!! We decided to add to our family through adoption in 2014, but things haven't gone the way we thought it would with the adoption. That's why I decided to write this blog to speak the truth about the side of adoption no one talks about. I am more bark than I am bite and usually don't like to speak up for myself, I tend to be used a lot by others and always get my heart broken, but now I'm not going to keep quite it's time for me to take a stand against all the lies we were told about our adoption and I hope it will help other families going through the same issues we are!
